Join us at Prittlewell Priory this December for a screening of evergreen seasonal favourite, 'Miracle On 34th Street' (1947). Set in New York, the film follows Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn), a mysterious elderly man hired to play Santa Claus at Macy's department store on 34th street by no nonsense events manager Doris Walker (Maureen O'Hara). It becomes apparent that the man believes he actually is Father Christmas. Despite reassurances by a doctor that he is harmless, Doris has misgivings about the man's sanity, and urges her daughter (Natalie Wood) not to believe in fantasies and fairy stories. However, they begin to notice that the old man might be more magical than he seems, as they discover…
