Venue Hire
Southend Museums has a variety of facilities and buildings available for hire depending on your event needs. We have two historic properties in addition to some more contemporary spaces available.

Please note that food and drink are not permitted in some of our venues, due to health and safety regulations in place and to protect and preserve our historic buildings.
Beecroft Art Gallery Lecture Theatre
Seating up to 100 people, equipped with audio visual technology, our Lecture Theatre is the perfect space for presentations, performances or film screenings.
Prittlewell Priory Refectory
The Refectory is the largest hall of the Priory, with a capacity of up to 100 people. It is a popular wedding location in priory park (more information on weddings here).
Priory Visitor Centre
Located next door to the Prittlewell Priory and surrounded by the greenery of priory park, this dynamic space is ideal for food/drink receptions and other small functions or meetings. Capacity is up to 40 people.
Southchurch Hall Main Hall
Also available for weddings, the main hall fits up to 40 guests. Please note that due to the presence of original historic furniture, this historic house is only suitable for ceremonies and blessings.
