About the Event
Join us for a day of talks, drop in workshop, film screenings and music to both challenge and celebrate how far we have come on International Women's Day. Tickets are FREE but required for guaranteed entry to talks.
International Women’s Day Festival – Programme
12pm – 1pm - March from the top of pier hill to the Beecroft Art Gallery. Meet at pier hill from 11.50am
1pm – 2pm - Refreshments, drop in zine making with Grrrl Zine Fair, visit exhibitions by the Agency of Visible Women, and a retrospective of prolific local artist Sheila Appleton. DJ Storm will also be playing!
2pm – 2.45pm - Introduction to the day, key note speech and Q&A by the incredible Jack Monroe!
2.45 – 3.45pm - Panel Discussion – How far have we come? Emma Mills, Colette Bailey, Ruth Jones, Vinice Cowell, chaired by Jo Farrugia.
3:45 – 4:30pm - More drop in zine Making, DJ Storm playing and some film screenings and refreshments.
4:30 – 4:50pm - Performance by KAB (Kelly Buckley).
4:50 – 5:00pm - Round up and goodbyes!
