Don’t miss your opportunity to meet Father Christmas at Prittlewell Priory on this December!
Travel back to Victorian times to discover how the Scratton family celebrated Christmas and meet their very special guest – Father Christmas himself! For one weekend only, Father Christmas will be in the magical setting of Prittlewell Priory to greet our younger visitors, but don’t forget to book in advance.
Your child will have the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in person, in the historic setting of Prittlewell Priory where he will be seated by the magnificent Christmas tree in the Refectory and each child will have the chance to tell him their Christmas wishes and receive a small gift and a sticker. They can also enjoy the storytelling and crafts on offer.
The visit to Father Christmas is ideally suited for children between 3 – 10 years of age.
Please note: Every child visiting Father Christmas must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by a responsible adult. There is no charge for accompanying adults.
FAQs for: Father Christmas at Prittlewell Priory
1. When should I arrive to meet Father Christmas?
Please make sure you allow plenty of time to arrive before your scheduled booking slot. We recommend that you arrive no later than 10 minutes before your pre-booked time slot.
The craft activities and storytelling sessions are on throughout the day so you are more than welcome to arrive early so your child can partake in the other activities available. Arriving early will not mean your child can visit Father Christmas before their allocated time.
Please note: due to the number of visits we need to accommodate, late arrivals will not be admitted
2. Once booked can I change the time or day of the visit?
No, unfortunately we are unable to change the date or time of the visit once booked. To avoid any disappointment, we would ask that before completing the purchase of tickets you are confident in being able to fulfil your booking.
3. Is there room for wheelchairs?
Yes, the Priory building is fully accessible on the ground floor and partially accessible on the first floor via an access lift. Please note that due to the age of the building, some surfaces may be uneven.
4. Can Buggies and Pushchairs be brought into the Priory?
No. Prittlewell Priory is a Grade I listed building and therefore in order to protect the historic fabric and collections housed within, pushchairs and buggies other than mobility pushchairs are not permitted inside the building. 5. Can food or drink be brought into the Priory?
No. Food and drink cannot be brought into, or consumed within the Priory.
Refreshments are available to purchase in the Visitor Centre.
